Bandung, June 18, 2025 – The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) officially launched the #BerdayaBersama Bootcamp, part of the national Perintis Berdaya initiative, designed to enhance the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, and creative economy actors. Held in Bandung from June 18–20, 2025, the bootcamp offers structured training programs through collaboration between Kemenko PM and industry partners from sectors including technology, finance, and the creative economy.
The bootcamp’s implementation is part of the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 8 of 2025 on the Optimization of Poverty Alleviation and Eradication of Extreme Poverty. This initiative represents a concrete effort to eradicate poverty by accelerating community economic empowerment, specifically through income strengthening, expanded access to business opportunities, and the creation of productive jobs.
This program aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision to accelerate poverty reduction and strengthen the people’s economy through strategic government programs that foster sustainable job creation and increased community income.
Currently, MSMEs, cooperatives, and creative economy actors contribute approximately 61% to the national GDP and employ nearly 97% of Indonesia’s workforce. Data shows that accelerating MSME digitalization alone could add around 2% to annual economic growth. With additional support through capacity building, network expansion, and sustained policy interventions, this combination has the potential to boost economic growth to 8% per year in the medium term.
Muhaimin Iskandar, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia, stated, Collaboration between the public and private sectors is not merely a strategy, it is an urgent necessity for achieving sustainable poverty reduction. Through cross-sectoral synergy, we are not only strengthening communities’ capacity to be independent and grow but also building a more inclusive and equitable economic foundation for all.”
On the first day, participants received training on the fundamental aspects of business management. The session began with introductions and needs assessments led by Ajeng Respati, Co-Founder & COO of Havilla Tea, followed by business fundamentals presented by Reza Aryabima, CEO & Co-founder of Artisan Professionnel.
Participants were then introduced to technology adoption and operations, delivered by Eka Citra, Chief Commercial Officer of Olsera. The day concluded with two sessions on marketing and branding, presented by Evlogia Advisory and Meta, emphasizing the importance of narrative-building, digital presence, and leveraging online platforms for business growth.
In his opening remarks, Leontinus Alpha Edison, Deputy for Coordination of Community Economic Empowerment and Protection of Migrant Workers, highlighted the importance of a sustainable and collaborative learning ecosystem and the role of strategic interventions in driving business transformation.
“This program is not merely a short training, but part of a long-term strategic intervention that we’ve designed comprehensively and sustainably. We believe that training is only effective when paired with consistent mentoring and a relevant, standards-based curriculum aligned with real-world challenges. Therefore, we invite all stakeholders to work together to empower local entrepreneurs through a holistic approach—so they don’t just learn but truly grow, move up in class, and build a strong foundation for long-term development. We hope this initiative will be well-received and serve as a benchmark going forward,” said Leontinus.
Cross-Sector Collaboration
The Perintis Berdaya Program was born from cross-sector collaboration involving key partners such as Google, Meta, Shopee, Brodo, Paragon Corp, and other industry players. Their support includes training, business mentoring, and access to digital platforms, serving as tangible proof of synergy between the public and private sectors in strengthening the foundations of the community economy.
This initiative also reinforces Kemenko PM’s ongoing commitment to expanding opportunities and promoting community economic growth through adaptive and collaborative approaches, reaching entrepreneurs across various regions.
