Jakarta, June 16, 2025 — PT BPR Luna Sinar Indonesia (Bank Luna) closed May 2025 with significant growth, recording a net profit of IDR 4 billion, an increase of 62.64% year-on-year (YoY) from IDR 2.4 billion in May 2024. Earlier, at the end of 2024, Bank Luna posted a net profit of IDR 7.5 billion. These achievements in both 2024 and May 2025 reflect solid operational performance and strengthen the bank’s position as a sound, adaptive, and trustworthy financial institution.
Bank Luna also recorded significant credit growth in Q1, with total loans disbursed increasing by 105.43% YoY. “We are grateful for our customers’ trust, reflected in loan growth that exceeded 100 percent compared to the previous year. This motivates us to continue delivering quality services that help people meet their financing needs,” said Joko Purwanto, President Director of PT BPR Luna Sinar Indonesia.
This growth is accompanied by well-maintained credit quality, as reflected in a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio of 2% as of May 2025, far below both the average NPL of rural banks (BPR) in Greater Jakarta and the maximum limit set by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at 5%.
Ginanjar Utardi, Director of PT BPR Luna Sinar Indonesia, explained, “This low NPL ratio reflects the consistent application of prudent principles that are integral to every lending process at Bank Luna. By ensuring that every loan is disbursed following thorough analysis and aligned with each customer’s capacity, we aim to maintain high credit quality in support of sustainable business growth.”
Trust in Bank Luna comes not only from individual customers but also from institutional partners. In December 2024, CIMB Niaga and Bank Luna signed a partnership agreement for productive loan distribution totaling IDR 50 billion. This collaboration represents a strong vote of confidence in Bank Luna’s fundamentals and growth direction. “The productive funds provided by CIMB Niaga will be optimized to reach more business players in need of financing access, while reinforcing Bank Luna’s position as a financial institution ready for sustainable growth,” added Joko Purwanto.
Looking ahead to 2025, Bank Luna has placed technological transformation at the center of its growth strategy. The company is committed to strengthening its digital systems and developing user-friendly, fast, and seamless digital interfaces to enhance the customer experience.
“We believe the future of banking lies in technology. This initiative is part of our strategy to support Bank Luna’s expansion and strengthen our competitiveness in the digital era. The technology we are developing will make it easier for customers to manage their funds and for productive business players to access our loan products,” said Joko. “We will continue expanding our retail service reach by collaborating with strategic partners who share our vision, so that more people can experience accessible and relevant financial services,” he added.
